Happy 4th, Happy Birthday Camille, Welcome Home Browns!

In honor of the 4th of July, Camille's birthday, and the Brown's moving home from Maryland we had a barbecue. This was the first time in over a year the whole family was together. Here we are-one big happy family! The boys grilled up a delicious dinner of which we all enjoyed.Whenever Camille and Rachelle get together, they think of silly things to do. That night it was to take a close up of everyone. After dinner and homemade ice cream (yum-yum), we had a water balloon fight. Camille and April spent a long time filling up the balloons and they were gone within minutes! Molly thought everyone was fighting which upset her-and then she got nailed in the face which made her cry harder. But she got over it.

Later we did sparklers. This was Molly's first time..she did pretty good with them except she kept wanting to hold it with two hands and the top hand always got a little too close to the sparks. She couldn't understand why we wouldn't let her do it on her own!We then moved out to the street to let off some fireworks. Here is how it progressed:

At first the boys played it safe and kept it away from the grass where the rest of us were safely watching. Then someone had the bright idea to light one on the sidewalk. It got a little to close for comfort-can you see the spark right below my foot? I also love the look on Andrew's face-that kid makes the best facial expressions! Then it was a panic to get all the kids out of the way. Molly's face is one of pure terror! But we all recovered and I got the sweetest thing from Molly-"noses" or Eskimo kisses...Love ya Molls! There's never a dull moment when you combine fireworks and Goodrich boys (and throw in a Tanner and a Brown)!

I love all those expressions and the play by play with the fireworks. I think things like that happen with boys and fireworks - they can never contain themselves for long. Silly, Silly!

Megan I love that whole post. It is perfect... from your close-ups collage (which i copied) to the progressive scariness of the boys fireworks. Very nice. Did I take those close-ups with your camera? Sorry.
